WINNERS OF GREENGAGE SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS 2025 ANNOUNCED

Greengage Solutions has announced the winners of its 2025 Sustainability Awards.  Now in their third year, the awards highlight and celebrate organisations and individuals that are making a real difference to delivering more responsible business travel, accommodation, meetings and events, and related sustainable products and services.

The awards were made in 15 categories, including 5 new categories, at a celebratory lunch at BMA House – itself a Platinum certified ECOsmart venue – London.

Highlights of the awards were:

  • Wyboston Lakes Resort picked up two awards for Best Meeting/Events Venue and Best Innovative Product or Service for initiatives such as sending zero waste to landfill for 9 years.
  • Manchester City Football Club won the Best Organisational Engagement and Cultural Change Initiative of the Year award. The Club’s BeSustainable pillar has driven cultural change within the organisation and included wildflower planting, new tree lines and creating sensory gardens.
  • The carbon-negative refurbishment of Grade II listed Church House in Westminster helped it win the Outstanding Achievement in Carbon Reduction and Net Zero Progress award.
  • Clean the World, that recycles hotel soap and amenities and redistributes them to the less fortunate, was recognised in two awards: Water, Waste, Resource & Recycling Project of the Year and Best Social Enterprise or Charity
  • The De Vere Cranage Estate Green Team picked up the Sustainability Team of the Year award with initiatives such as getting the chef to use leftovers to make fat balls for the birds

The judges also selected the winners of two individual awards:

  • Anisha Tansley from Clarity Business Travel was selected as the Rising Star award for showing outstanding leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Tommie Eaton from Clean the World was awarded Sustainability Champion for his drive, passion, dedication and energy.

Greengage selected three individuals who are shining lights in their field to receive a Positive Impact Award.  The winners were:

  • Simon Catterick from mission : net zero

Andrew Perolls, CEO of Greengage, comments:   “These awards are Greengage’s contribution to championing those who are redefining how we travel and offer event, hospitality and travel options  – those who not only dare to imagine a more sustainable future but also work tirelessly to turn that vision into reality.

“Each year we are impressed with the passion, commitment and creativity of the forward-thinkers and changemakers of the event, hospitality and business travel suppliers who are investing and embedding a more sustainable offering into their day-to-day operations. The efforts of all the nominees and winners remind us that sustainability is not merely a goal but a journey – a dynamic process of innovation, collaboration and commitment.”
