The Greengage team has been making waves in the sustainability arena, with recent engagements at two prestigious events that have further solidified their commitment to driving positive change in the hospitality and events industry.
The team had the privilege of hosting our ECOsmart Platinum Inner Circle summit at the Pan Pacific London, a renowned green destination for sustainable events. Hosted by Kate Ruddick, the summit provided a platform for great round table discussions with the best of the best hotel and meeting venues, identifying 2024 predicted industry trends, the best in sustainability innovation, and working on the launch of a new mentoring scheme to help other properties on their sustainability journey. The Platinum Inner Circle has now been running for 2 years, has 30 members and this was our 6th meeting. If you would like to be involved in future meetings do reach out to your account manager.
Our very own Commercial Director, Louise Boyse, took to the stage at The BTA‘s Accommodation Conference in London yesterday. She shared her insights into how sustainability will play an ever greater part in defining the accommodation product in 2024. Corporate client requirements will be the primary driver.
Louise also emphasised the vital role of third-party accreditations as the only way for independent verification. She was impressed with the remarkable collaborative efforts within the service apartment industry for carbon measurement. Louise also shone a light on the increasing demand for data, especially providing information on EV chargers through booking tools. Her talk also underscored the crucial role of communication in sharing what accommodation providers are doing!
