The Greengage team was delighted to attend The Meeting Show. We had our own space on the beam stand and were pleased to be surrounded by so many of our ECOsmart venues and partners. It was great to catch up on everyone’s sustainability journey and discuss potential next steps. We also launched our API with Booking.com and it was perfect timing to share this news with our venues present at the show.
We believe there is still a long way to go to make our industry more sustainable. At the same time as The Meeting Show, Reset Connect was being held opposite and we could see more considerations had been made for that event to have a lower environmental impact. Not having carpet at Reset Connect was a great visual of the journey our industry events still need to go on.
One thing that was consistent in all the conversations that were had with our community at The Meeting Show is that they are being asked in almost every RFP for their sustainability credentials and the evidence to back it up. This is a really positive step as corporates are now considering their whole supply chain including events in their scope 3 emissions.
