At our recent Greengage Insights Live event, we were privileged to partner with Meeting Needs, an organisation dedicated to supporting small charities and making a tangible difference in the world. Together, we embarked on a journey to raise funds for Clowns Without Borders, recognising the profound impact their work has on the lives of those they touch.
Meeting Needs have a range of charities they support where they can really make a difference. After discussing the options we chose Clowns Without Borders.
We donated £5 from every ticket sold for the event as well as raffle tickets for an event held after the awards. We were able to raise £1250 – a testament to the boundless compassion of our community.
Clowns Without Borders: Bringing Smiles to Those in Need
With a staggering 1.5 billion people affected by global conflict and 32 million children forced to flee their homes, the impact of adversity is undeniable. Additionally, natural disasters wreak havoc on over 200 million individuals annually, compounding the already dire circumstances faced by many communities worldwide.
In the face of such adversity, Clowns Without Borders emerges as a source of solace and relief. Their mission to spread joy and laughter knows no bounds, as they bring their playful performances to refugee camps and crisis zones across the globe. For children grappling with the trauma of displacement and disaster, the opportunity to play and relax offers a much-needed respite from the harsh realities of their circumstances.
The funds raised will enable Clowns Without Borders to continue their vital mission, bringing smiles to the faces of children in the midst of adversity. Their playful performances serve as a reminder that laughter knows no language barriers and that even in the darkest of times, there is hope.
Looking Towards the Future
As we look towards the future, we are filled with optimism and determination. The success of Insights Live and our collaboration with Meeting Needs have reaffirmed our commitment to making a positive impact in the world. We hope to continue to support organisations like Clowns Without Borders and WWF, ensuring that we can raise awareness and much needed funds.
