“Some days stick with you because they leave a legacy of inspiration. The Greengage Insights Conference and Awards was one of those days.
It’s clear there is an army of sustainability champions out there but the race is on, we must act NOW! Thank you for a great afternoon, what a fantastic way to kick off the year!”
– Sammy Connell – Head of Conferences & Events, NASUWT
This year’s Greengage Insights Conference wrapped up with resounding applause and a sense of renewed dedication to embracing sustainability. Nearly 200 delegates gathered to learn about sustainability best practices from a line-up of speakers from organisations such as Silverstone, INNTEL, EY, Clarity Business Travel, the Lamington Group and Thrust Carbon. From the inspirational talks from World Record breaking cyclist, World Champion triathlete and climate adventurer, Karen Strong, and technology and sustainability entrepreneur Johnny Palmer to the prestigious Greengage Sustainability Awards, the event was a testament to the growing appetite for sustainability across the industry.
The Greengage Sustainability Awards celebrate initiatives and individuals making a real difference to deliver more responsible business travel, accommodation, meetings and events. Judged by an independent panel of leading industry figures from Custard Communications, the Business Travel Association, SITU, NASUWT, Prestige Events, ArrangeMY, emc3, beam and EVENTIT, the awards highlight and celebrate exemplary efforts in sustainability.
As we reflect on the success of the conference, it is evident that sustainability is not just a trend but a fundamental ethos driving businesses and communities toward a more resilient and equitable future. The enthusiasm and engagement of delegates reaffirm the collective resolve to embrace sustainability as a guiding principle in all facets of operations and decision-making.
Looking ahead, the momentum generated by this year’s conference serves as a catalyst for continued collaboration, innovation, and advocacy in advancing sustainability initiatives worldwide. Together, we can forge a path towards a greener, more sustainable planet for generations to come.
